The end of an era and bathroom progress
OK, maybe not an era, but 334 days!!
I've been milking, and bottle feeding babies (up to 3 at a time) for 334 days.
That's 668 milkings!!!!!
No, I'm not quitting.
DH has helped when he is here, washing up, taking the cow out when she's done, etc., but he had never actually milked...until now.
He was in training last week, and did the whole thing on Sunday, with me staying in the house!
All because Avery has to be at Children's overnight for a sleep study, her 2nd one.
Back when it was scheduled, I asked DH if he wanted to go with her, or stay home and take care of a farm full of animals and kids......he chose to stay home.
Here's the progress of the weekend; I got all of the wood in the bedroom and bathroom whitewashed.
Aiming for Friday to put a coat of polycrylic on it.
In case you are wondering why we are going back and forth between this and the den; it's because of the wood. DH had to drive over an hour to get it, and storing 16 feet long pieces of wood is a bit difficult. So he has to do all the wood work at once, so it won't ruin sitting out on the porch.
Stay warm, my friends, it was 24 degrees at milking time this morning!
